Giving Societies

Faithful giving, whether from alumni, parents, friends, corporations or foundations, directly impacts students in their academic endeavors. Cornell has established several Giving Societies to express our gratitude. Membership on these rosters includes gifts made during the fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30.

Lifetime Giving Society

Many donors give generously to Cornell College over many years, often through their entire lives or through bequests. Members of Cornell's Lifetime Giving Society are donors, past and present, whose generosity has reached or exceeded the $100,000 level through their cumulative gifts and pledges.

Leadership Circle

The Leadership Circle of Cornell College was created in fiscal year 2000-01 to provide for the long-term financial stability of the college and give Cornell a competitive edge. It is an advancement program that is proving to be crucial to Cornell's success as a premier liberal arts college.

Individuals who make annual outright, unrestricted gifts of $10,000 or more to Cornell are automatically members of the Leadership Circle. Members are more than extraordinary donors, they are true friends and partners with the college helping to chart its future with their guidance and support.

Cornell Fellows Program

Cornell Fellows sponsors make possible exceptional real-world opportunities for Cornell students with gifts of $5,000. The fellowship sponsor is recognized in the name of their fellowship.

Cornell Scholars Program

The Cornell Scholars Program provides a unique and affordable way to name a scholarship. Sponsors of this program give $2,500 or more, establishing a scholarship and providing a deserving student with tuition assistance for the upcoming academic year.

Presidents Society

The Presidents Society of Cornell College are individuals whose generous annual gifts of $2,000 or more to any area or program of the college demonstrate a deep commitment to Cornell. The support of Presidents Society members enables the college to meet the evolving challenges of providing the best in education.

Young Presidents Society

This society was formed to honor recent graduates with total annual giving of $100 for each year following graduation ($100 one year out, $200 two years out, etc.). Alumni are eligible for this society during their first 10 years post graduation.

Heritage Society

The purpose of the Heritage Society is to recognize those people whose vision and philanthropic interest moved them to consider Cornell's long-range needs through planned gifts.

Golden Rams Fund

Support from alumni and friends has enabled the Golden Rams Fund to generate funds in support of equipment, team travel opportunities, uniforms, and other unbudgeted expenses, providing first-class opportunities to our student-athletes.

Library Gifts

Gifts to the Russell D. Cole Library strengthen the educational resources of the college and enriched the general book collection. These resources benefit every student and every academic department on campus.
