Welcome from the Alumni Board President

Cornellians sing this chorus to our alma mater: “Cornell, greater be thy name than e’er in the days of yore; Cornell, brighter be thy fame in the years that lie before.” True to those lyrics, the work of the Cornell College Alumni Association builds on the past to help the College advance confidently into the future. As President of the Association, I am privileged and proud to represent this eclectic, dynamic, worldwide community of doers and thinkers.
According to its constitution, the Alumni Association works with the Office of Alumni and College Advancement “to promote the mission, goals, and best interests of Cornell College in order to foster a vigorous and positive relationship between the College and its alumni.” The mission of the Association’s Board of Directors states it far more succinctly: “Connect with Cornell.”
On a daily basis, staff members in the Office of Alumni help Cornellians broaden and deepen their connections with each other through an array of services, opportunities, and activities detailed elsewhere on this website. Supporting the Office of Alumni’s efforts is a national Board of Directors, which meets twice annually on campus, and a network of Class Agents, which maintains communication with classmates and organizes five-year and, occasionally, clustered reunions.
Whether you are an alumnus or alumna, current or prospective student, parent or friend of a Cornellian, I invite you to stop by the Paul K. Scott Alumni Center at Rood House and visit the Office of Alumni, just inside the front door. Take time to look around this beautifully renewed architectural landmark, and remember to sign the guest book in the front parlor as you “Connect (or reconnect) with Cornell.”
